Very frequent they have a tenacious activity and decay has a deep subgingival location. A situation like this will need a periodontal resective treatment which is mandatory, complicated techniques on one side and patient expectations on another side will determine the denying of this treatment, so the treatment by its self will be the root extraction. Another situation will be the lesion with a juxtagingival decay. This type of lesions will be easily treated with modern treatment techniques, which are less invasive (gingival trimmer, fiber glass pins, etc.). Key Words: Surgical crown lengthing, Resective surgery, Periodontal</dc:description> <dc:description xml:lang='ro'>Leziunile coronare totale şi subtotale au o incidenţă relativ înaltă. Foarte frecvent ele însă au o evoluţie mai tenace şi defectul carios cu predilecţie o dislocare subgingivală profundă. O astfel de situaţie va necesita un tratament chirurgical parodontal rezectiv care este obligatoriu, tehnicile complicate pe de o parte şi aşteptările pacienţilor pe de altă parte vor determina negarea acestor metode, astfel tratamentul în sine implicând extracţia dentară. O altă situaţie leziunile cu defect juxtagingival. Aceste leziuni pot fi uşor rezolvate prin intermediul metodelor moderne de tratament, care sunt minim invazive (trimerul gingival, pivoţii de fibră de sticlă, etc.). </dc:description> <dc:source>Analele Ştiinţifice ale USMF „N.
